Identify things which you are not certain about, and need to check as assumptions.
Identify activities which rely on other activities as dependencies.
1-2-1
A 1-2-1 or one-to-one meeting is between 2 people (only). It may be formal or informal as required. Examples include:
Line Manager and subordinate to ensure the subordinate is working efficiently and effectively, and for the manager to provide support as needed. In most cases, a Manager should issue a weekly (ideally) or fortnightly invite for perhaps 30 minutes.
Project Manager and team member, similar to Line Manager and subordinate meeting mentioned above.
Project Manager and lead customer to collect objectives and discuss progress.
Peer-to-peer between 2 subject matters experts, collaborating on an activity.
Line Management + Subordinate Agenda
Line Manager to ask:
Has their been anything you're proud of achieving since our last meeting?
Are you on track with your activities?
Is there anyone or anything causing you difficulty?
What do you plan to achieve before our next meeting?
Are you struggling with any of your role profile responsibilities, or your objectives from your personal development plan (PDP)?
